Over 1.56m citizens avail services from Police Khidmat Marakaz this year

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz are actively providing modern, digital, and citizen-friendly services across the province, with more than 1.565 million citizens availing various facilities so far this year.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, over 605,000 citizens obtained general police verification, while more than 313,000 citizens were issued police character certificates. In addition, over 359,000 rental registrations were completed through the centres.

He further stated that medical legal certificates were issued to 55,107 citizens, while more than 42,000 individuals from vulnerable groups were provided legal and social protection under ongoing facilitation measures.

According to the spokesperson, 13,707 citizens completed vehicle verification, 34,898 reported lost document registrations, and 1,327 citizens registered crime reports through the Khidmat Marakaz system.

Moreover, over 74,000 citizens obtained copies of FIRs, while 23 women-related violence cases were registered through the facilitation centres.

He added that 65,226 citizens completed employee registration (ROPE), and 950 citizens obtained police verification for private employment purposes.

Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Kareem said that Khidmat Marakaz represent a flagship public service delivery initiative, offering 24/7 facilitation to citizens across the province. He directed that courteous, respectful, and professional behaviour must be ensured with citizens at Khidmat Marakaz, police stations, and all public dealing points, emphasising that citizen service remains a top priority of the police department.
