Ongoing uplift projects of completion to bring vital & revolutionary changes in infrastructure of Balochistan:Khosa

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Balochistan Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa on Wednesday said that the ongoing development projects across Balochistan under BSDI are of utmost importance, the completion of which would bring about significant and revolutionary changes in the infrastructure of the province.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held to review the progress of the ongoing development projects under Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) Phase One and Phase Two in the province.

The meeting was attended by all the chief engineers of all six zones, concerned officers, superintending engineers, technical advisors, and all district engineers and officers via Zoom.

During the meeting, the executive engineers of each district of the province, roads and buildings, gave a detailed briefing on the progress, speed, quality and completion status of the ongoing BSDI projects in their respective districts.

Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa said that all BSDI projects are for the welfare of the public and strengthening the infrastructure of the province. The completion of these projects would improve the road and building infrastructure in every district, which would not only increase development activities but could also provide modern and better facilities to the people.

He strictly instructed all district engineers and concerned officers to ensure effective monitoring of ongoing development projects and to utilize all available resources to complete the projects within the stipulated time frame.

The Provincial Minister said that negligence in development projects would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and in this regard, a few engineers have already been suspended for neglecting their duties.

He clarified that strict action would be taken against any negligence in the completion of projects, construction quality and other technical matters.

Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa further said that special teams are being formed to monitor and ensure transparency in other development projects including BSDI in the province, saying these teams would send detailed reports to the Secretary's Office after inspecting the ongoing projects in the districts of their respective zones so that transparency, quality and speed in the projects could be further improved.

Provincial Minister for C&W Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa said that the Balochistan government is giving top priority to timely and quality completion of development projects so that the goals of sustainable development, strong infrastructure and public prosperity can be achieved in the province.
