One motorcyclist killed,another injured in road mishap

A motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries in a road accident in the jurisdiction of City Jaranwala police on Thursday

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) A motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries in a road accident in the jurisdiction of City Jaranwala police on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials,a speeding vehicle hit a motorcycle from behind near Sheroana Bridge on Canal Road, close to a PSO pump.

As a result,Rana Mudassar(37) died on the spot.The injured pillion rider namely as Sikandar Hayat (40) was provided first aid by Rescue 1122 personnel before being shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Jaranwala in critical condition.

Police took the body into custody and started an investigation into the incident.

Efforts were underway to ascertain the identity of the driver and the circumstances surrounding the accident.
