One killed, two injured as truck hits pedestrians

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) One person was killed while two others sustained critical injuries in a road accident near Pabbi Jangal Highway, near Kharian.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, a speeding truck hit three pedestrians, resulting in the death of one person on the spot and leaving two others seriously injured.

The deceased was identified as Tariq Khan, 29. The injured included Mudasar Khan, 30, and Abid Khan, 42. All three victims were residents of Islamabad.

Rescue officials reached the scene and shifted the body and injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Kharian after providing first aid. Further investigation into the incident was underway.
