One killed,eight injured as police van overturns on M-2

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) A man was killed and eight others sustained injuries when a Punjab Police van overturned after a tyre burst on the M-2 Motorway near Galla Pur in the jurisdiction of KotMomin police on Friday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials,the police vehicle was traveling from Lahore to Islamabad when the driver lost control after a tyre burst near the Sargodha section of the motorway, causing the van to overturn.

As a result, Noor Muhammad,r/o Rajanpur died on the spot while eight others,including Aslam, Kamran and Munawar were injured.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and shifted the body and the injured to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Kot Momin for treatment and completion of legal formalities.

Further investigation was underway.
