ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jul, 2026) The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has intensified nationwide enforcement actions against those involved in selling Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) above the notified price and engaging in profiteering.
Taking notice of public complaints and reports published in various newspapers, OGRA, in coordination with the district administration, is conducting enforcement operations in cities across the country.
As part of the crackdown, six LPG plants in Rawalpindi have so far been sealed for violating the notified LPG price.
According to a news release, the OGRA reiterated its commitment to protecting consumers' rights and ensuring the availability of LPG at the notified price.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The authority said monitoring and enforcement activities would continue uninterrupted across the country.
It added that strict legal action, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, would be initiated against individuals and entities found involved in overcharging, profiteering, or violating regulatory requirements.
OGRA has directed LPG marketing companies, LPG plant operators, distributors, and dealers to strictly comply with the notified prices and all applicable rules and regulations, warning that any violation would result in strict legal action.
