Nusuk card records over 3.5m scans during Hajj season

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the Nusuk Card recorded more than 3.5 million verification scans since the 1st of Dhul-Qadah as part of efforts to organize pilgrim movement during Hajj 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report on Monday, the Nusuk card is being used through multiple verification points to facilitate pilgrims’ movement and improve the efficiency of services provided during the Hajj season.

The report said the card, available in both digital and printed versions, enables quick access to pilgrims’ information and services through electronic systems and smart service channels.

The authorities said the system supports faster response times and improves operational efficiency throughout different stages of the pilgrim journey.

The SPA told that the Nusuk card was also playing a major field role by helping authorities accurately identify pilgrims, organize entry into camps and transport systems, and improve movement between service locations.

The report said the digital system is helping reduce cases of lost pilgrims while strengthening coordination among different Hajj-related authorities.

The Nusuk card forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation efforts aimed at improving pilgrim services and ensuring smoother Hajj operations, the officials added.
