Notorious Bandit Farhan Shah Rashadi Surrenders Amid Ongoing “Nijat Meharn” Police Operation in Khairpur

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) Under the Sindh government’s directives and mounting pressure from the ongoing “Nijat Meharn” police operation, notorious dacoit Farhan Shah Rashadi, wanted in over 40 serious criminal cases, has surrendered to Khairpur police.

The operation, led by DIG Larkana/Sukkur Nasir Aftab and supervised by SSP Khairpur Dr Samiullah Soomro, has been targeting criminal elements in the katcha (riverine) areas.

Farhan Shah, son of Riaz Hussain Shah Rashadi, was a symbol of terror in the katcha and Sub-Division Pir Goth regions, and was wanted for murder, robbery, extortion, police encounters, terrorism and other heinous crimes.

According to police officials, Farhan Shah surrendered and repented from his life of crime, urging his accomplices to lay down their arms and turn themselves in.

SSP Dr Samiullah Soomro stated that the “Nijat Meharan” operation will continue until all dacoits are eliminated and complete peace is restored in the katcha areas.

He reaffirmed police commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property and eradicating crime from the region.
