FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza directed WASA officers to ensure uninterrupted drainage and water supply services across the city and warned that no water should accumulate outside mosques and Ramadan Bazaars during the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
Chairing a meeting regarding Ramadan arrangements, he said that provision of quality drainage and water supply services to the citizens during the holy month was foremost mission of the agency and all available resources would be utilized to achieve this goal.
He instructed operations officers to constitute special teams comprising field staff to carry out strict monitoring of public places particularly mosques and Ramadan bazaars to prevent water stagnation.
He made it clear that no water should remain accumulated at mosques, Ramadan bazaars or other public locations.
Strict action would be taken against the concerned officers and staff in case of negligence, he added.
He also directed WASA officials to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints during Ramadan and emphasized that no complaint should remain unresolved beyond the prescribed time frame.
He further instructed O&M directors to ensure attendance of their subordinate officers and staff and conduct regular field visits to maintain performance standards.
He ordered for the installation of cameras and mandatory deployment of security guards at all disposal stations. O&M and administration officers would be held responsible if any theft incident was reported at these facilities, he added.
