LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin has directed the acceleration of ongoing development projects across Punjab, setting a firm deadline of June 30 for their completion and ordering strict monitoring to ensure timely delivery.
Chairing a review meeting of development projects for the current financial year, here on Saturday, the minister said that, on the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, development work across the province has been expedited with extended working hours and round-the-clock activity in both day and night shifts.
The meeting was attended by the Special Secretary Housing, Additional Secretary Technical, and Project Directors, who briefed the minister on the progress of ongoing schemes.
Bilal Yasin instructed all departments to submit daily performance reports, stressing that transparency and efficiency must be ensured at every stage.

He further directed that road construction and park restoration schemes be prioritised and completed before Muharram to facilitate citizens. He also emphasised that, in view of the prevailing severe heat, there should be no compromise on the restoration and functionality of water filtration plants.
The minister added that two major projects in Lahore, the restoration of the Railway Station and the expansion of Data Darbar, have been declared top priorities for early completion, reflecting the government’s focus on improving urban infrastructure and public facilities.
