No compromise on women harassment

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) District Police Office Bahawalpur has issued directives to all SDPOs and SHOs across the district regarding the respect and protection of women.

According to a spokesman, women are requested that in case of any harassment or inappropriate behavior, they should immediately inform the Bahawalpur police by calling Helpline 15 or lodge a complaint through the Women Safety App.

“Prompt and effective action will be ensured on every complaint,” he said.

The spokesman said that the dignity and safety of women visiting all bazaars, markets, and shopping centers must be ensured at all costs. “Harassing women, passing inappropriate remarks, stalking, or engaging in any form of immoral behavior is not only contrary to social values but is also a punishable offense under the law,” he said.
