RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Saturday said that the government would expand the Nizam-e-Salat initiative from Islamabad to the entire country to promote adherence to prayers and strengthen religious values.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Jamia Masjid Saima, Upper Banani in Galiyat, he emphasized the need for active engagement in religious affairs and the development and expansion of mosques.
He said that the National Ulema and Mashaikh Council was playing an effective role in promoting inter-sect and interfaith harmony across the country.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Highlighting the role of Pakistan at the global level, the minister said that the country had earned international respect and was contributing to the promotion of world peace. He added that Field Marshal Asim Munir's efforts had helped prevent escalation towards global conflict.
Earlier, the minister visited village Banani on the invitation of Professor Sajjad Qamar. A large number of political, social and religious figures along with local residents, attended the ceremony. Muhammad bin Sajjad and Mustafa bin Sajjad were also present on the occasion.
