Ninth-grade girl abducted in Wah Cantt; police launch hunt for van driver

WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) A ninth-grade student was allegedly abducted in the Bhabra area of Wah Cantonment, prompting police to register a case against a Suzuki van driver and initiate an extensive search operation, officials said on Saturday.

According to police sources, the girl—reported to be a resident of Bhabra—was taken away by the suspect under circumstances that remain under investigation. Authorities are working to establish the sequence of events leading to the alleged abduction.

Following the incident, the victim’s family lodged a complaint with the police, after which Wah Cantonment Police formally registered a case and launched a manhunt to trace the suspect and ensure the safe recovery of the girl.

Police officials stated that raids are being carried out at multiple locations to apprehend the accused, adding that all available resources are being utilized to resolve the case. Further investigation is underway.
