NIM participants visit rescue 1122 headquarters in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Participants and faculty members of the 46th Mid-Career Management Course of the National Institute of Management Peshawar visited the provincial headquarters of Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday to review the emergency service’s operational system and response mechanisms.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, Director General Rescue 1122 KP Shah Fahad welcomed the visiting delegation, which was presented with a guard of honour upon arrival.

The participants also visited the Wall of Martyrs and paid tribute to Rescue 1122 personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, followed by a collective prayer.

During the visit, the delegation toured the provincial control room, where officials briefed them on the emergency call response system, modern monitoring mechanisms and coordination procedures adopted during emergency situations.

Special stalls showcasing firefighting, search and rescue, water rescue and disaster response operations were also arranged, where Rescue 1122 personnel gave practical demonstrations of emergency handling techniques and rescue operations.

Addressing the participants, Shah Fahad gave a detailed briefing on the institution’s overall performance, emergency response system, professional capabilities and public service delivery.

He said Rescue 1122 was providing round-the-clock services across the province in road accidents, medical emergencies, fire incidents, natural disasters, water rescue and other emergencies.

He said the Primary objective of the department was to ensure timely response, protection of human lives and provision of modern and effective emergency services to the public.

The delegation was also informed about the department’s training system, discipline, use of modern technology and rapid response strategies during emergencies.

The visiting participants appreciated the professional services, efficient emergency response and public service commitment of Rescue 1122 and termed the institution’s performance commendable.

At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two institutions and a group photograph was taken.
