SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Nijat Mehran operation, a joint effort by Sukkur Range Police, Federal Civil Intelligence Agency, and Sindh Rangers, is ongoing with notable success.

During a search operation, a large cache of modern weapons was recovered from hideouts of dacoits and kidnappers, said a release issued by DIG office Sukkur here on Friday.

Under the leadership of DIG Sukkur, Nasir Aftab, the joint search operation has yielded significant results.

The recovered weapons include one rocket launcher, one rocket shell, two G-3 rifles with two magazines, and two Kalashnikov rifles with two magazines. The search operation is still in progress.

Ghotki Police and Rangers are also conducting the Nijat Mehran operation in the kacha (riverine) area of District Ghotki, which will continue until the dacoits either surrender or are eliminated. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating crime and restoring peace in the region.
