NGO donates Rs1.8m anesthesia machine to Allied Hospital-II

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) Anjuman Insdad-e-Manshiat has donated a state-of-the-art anesthesia machine worth Rs.1.8 million to Allied Hospital-II (DHQ Hospital) with the support of a donor to strengthen surgical facilities at the public sector healthcare institution.

Prof Dr Imtiaz Ahmad Dogar, a renowned psychiatrist, along with General Secretary Anjuman Insdad-e-Manshiat Madam Amna Akram formally handed over the modern anesthesia machine to Medical Superintendent Dr Zafar Iqbal in the presence of Director Social Welfare Madam Khalida Rafiq.

Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Ali Baig, Dr Imran, Muhammad Pervaiz, Muhammad Afzal Jalandhri and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Social Welfare Madam Khalida Rafiq appreciated the efforts of Anjuman Insdad-e-Manshiat under the leadership of its General Secretary and termed the provision of resources for the hospital a commendable initiative.

She said that collaboration between Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and public health institutions plays a vital role in improving service delivery and facilitating the patients.

Medical Superintendent Dr Zafar Iqbal informed that anesthesia machine was previously unavailable at this hospital and its addition would significantly enhance efficiency of surgical procedures.

The machine would be installed and utilized in the operation theater to ensure improved patient care and safe surgeries, he added.

Representatives of Anjuman Insdad-e-Manshiat reiterated their commitment to extend further support to the hospital and vowed to continue mobilizing resources for the provision of modern medical equipment to benefit patients.
