Negligence in public service delivery not to be tolerated: ADC

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Fazal Abbas on Monday directed all departments to ensure achievement of assigned targets as negligence in resolving public issues and effective service delivery would not be tolerated at all.

He chaired a meeting of District Coordination Committee while officers from various departments were also present on the occasion.

During meeting, detailed briefings were presented regarding performance of different departments, progress on ongoing development schemes and delivery of public services.

The forum also reviewed administrative measures taken to address citizens’ concerns and improve service standards.

Addressing the participants, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Fazal Abbas said that effective coordination at district level forms foundation of good governance. He instructed all departments to work in close collaboration and ensure that their respective targets are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.

He stressed that public grievances must be addressed promptly and efficiently. The district administration would adopt zero-tolerance approach toward any laxity in public service delivery, he added.

He called for further improvement in sanitation arrangements, price control enforcement, maintenance of law & order and other administrative matters to enhance overall governance standards.

Highlighting the administration’s commitment to public welfare, he said that all available resources would be utilized to ensure provision of best possible facilities to the people.

The district administration considers public service its foremost mission and would continue taking proactive measures to improve transparency, efficiency and responsiveness across all departments, he added.
