ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Friday forecast largely dry conditions across most parts of the country over the next few days, with overall temperatures expected to rise unusually, signaling increased heat levels.

The NDMA advisory, covering March 6–11, has been shared with relevant authorities to ensure preparedness and timely response. The Authority is also working to raise advance awareness among departments and the public regarding potential risks.

According to the latest outlook, weather is expected to remain mostly dry across most districts of Punjab. However, light rain accompanied by strong winds and dust storms is likely at some places between March 9 and 11.

In the Potohar region — including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mianwali — partly cloudy conditions with light rain are forecast during the same period.

Weather in Balochistan is expected to remain dry and warm in the coming days, though partly cloudy conditions with light rain are likely in northern districts — including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat and Kalat — between March 7 and 9.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mostly dry weather is expected from March 6 to 11, with a likely increase in heat intensity. Light rain is forecast in several districts, including Chitral, Dir, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Mohmand, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bannu, Buner, Peshawar and Swabi.

Dry weather is likely to prevail across Sindh, with daytime temperatures expected to remain above normal in most parts of the province.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy conditions accompanied by light rain are forecast at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir during the period from March 6 to 11.

Light rain is expected at isolated places in Astore, Gilgit, Skardu, Diamer, Ghizer, Hunza, Nagar, Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Hattian Bala, Bagh, Haveli and Poonch.

The prevailing conditions may intensify heat in most parts of the country, while prolonged dry spells and unusually high temperatures could pose risks to standing crops. Farmers have been advised to ensure proper irrigation arrangements to mitigate possible adverse impacts on their produce.
