LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Abid Lashari, President of the National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan and Focal Person on Human Rights for persons with disabilities, Sindh will participate in the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) to be held 24th-27th Feb 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development reconvenes regional leaders, policymakers, development practitioners, civil society representatives, and United Nations agencies to accelerate progress toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.Organized under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the forum serves as a key regional platform to review progress, share best practices, and strengthen partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.

Despite ongoing social, economic, and climate-related challenges, the Asia-Pacific region remains home to powerful ideas, innovative partnerships, and inspiring individuals driving transformative change toward the 2030Agenda.

The forum will highlight practical, scalable solutions aimed at accelerating sustainable development and ensuring that no one is left behind — particularly marginalized communities, including persons with disabilities.

Lashari’s participation reflects NDF Pakistan’s continued commitment to advancing inclusive development, disability rights, and community-led solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
