Nation to never hesitate to render sacrifice for homeland, says Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Monday said that Pakistan Day is observed to pay homage to the leaders of the freedom movement and to renew the pledge that the nation will never hesitate to render any sacrifice for the homeland.

Khursheed Ahmed Shah said that the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was anchored in democracy, peace, progress, and equality, and that the struggle to realize this vision would continue.

He added that since its inception, the Pakistan Peoples Party has waged an unparalleled struggle for human rights, democracy and constitutional rights, and reaffirmed that the party would continue to uphold democratic values without compromise in the future.

Shah said that Pakistan Day was also an occasion to reaffirm the pledge that the nation would confront all challenges with unity and solidarity, and would not allow any enemy’s designs to succeed.

Meanwhile, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Senator Sherry Rehman’s daughter.

He prayed that Allah elevate the departed soul’s rank and grant strength to the bereaved parents and family to bear the irreparable loss, adding that he shares in the grief of the mourning family.
