MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan has launched legal proceedings against long-standing illegal commercialisation in the city, recovering more than Rs110 million in outstanding dues and depositing the amount in the national treasury.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The bureau, in coordination with the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA), Multan Development Authority (MDA), District Council, and Municipal Corporation, conducted joint operations targeting shops, plazas, and commercial centres including those on Brand Road where commercialisation fees had remained unpaid for years, causing significant losses to public funds.
NAB Multan said recovery operations are continuing and the bureau is committed to ensuring full collection of all government dues. It warned that no individual or department would be allowed to cause financial harm to the national exchequer.
