NAB freezes Bahria Town properties, land in Karachi, Jamshoro districts

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) In pursuance of freezing orders issued by the Director General, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi, the Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro, along with police personnel and officials of the Sindh Forest Department, has taken possession of land in Deh Mole, Taluka Thana Bula Khan, as well as Bahria Town-2 in District Jamshoro.

According to a statement issued by NAB Karachi, the Deputy Commissioner Malir, has also sealed “Ali Villa” in compliance with another freezing order. NAB stated that a few days earlier it had frozen the sprawling mansion allegedly constructed by property tycoon Malik Riaz Hussain for personal residential use in the name of his son Ali Riaz Malik.

The property, known as Ali Villa, is situated in Bahria Hills within Bahria Town Karachi and spans over 67 acres. According to NAB, the mansion includes state-of-the-art facilities such as a helipad, mini zoo and swimming pools.

NAB further stated that in two new inquiries, it has frozen 1,338 acres of land allegedly usurped by Bahria Town Karachi, where Bahria Greens and various precincts including 33, 34, 38, 39, 40, 42 and 61 were planned to be developed.

The bureau claimed that the land belonged to the Government of Sindh.

Additionally, NAB has frozen the entire 3,150 acres of Bahria Town-2 land, which it alleged, was fraudulently purchased by M/s Paradise Real Estate (Pvt) Limited through a separate order issued by the Director General NAB Karachi.

Under the freezing orders, the relevant authorities have been directed to prevent Bahria Town Karachi from creating any third-party rights over the properties and land in question.

NAB further stated that it has already filed Reference No. 1/2025 before an Accountability Court in Karachi regarding the alleged illegal conversion and misappropriation of 17,672 acres of government land in District Malir, valued at approximately Rs708 billion, allegedly in collusion with officials of the Government of Sindh. The bureau alleged that Bahria Town Karachi was constructed adjacent to the M-9 Motorway in violation of the law.
