NA to be fully digitalised, tablets provided to members: Dr. Tariq Fazal

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Fazal Chaudhry on Monday informed the National Assembly that efforts are underway to fully digitalise the proceedings of the House.

Responding to a point of order, he said all members of the Assembly have already been provided with tablets, and the process of uploading parliamentary business through the new digital system has commenced.

He added that any member facing difficulties in using the system should immediately bring the issue to the notice of the Assembly authorities, noting that relevant officers from the IT Ministry and supporting staff are available to assist lawmakers.

He further said the initiative aims to reduce administrative costs, particularly expenses related to printing, ensuring more efficient use of public resources.

He assured lawmakers that any technical issues will be addressed promptly, while efforts are ongoing to fully stabilise the system for more effective use in upcoming sessions.
