Multiple illegal buildings razed, properties sealed

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The district administration intensified its action against illegal constructions, demolishing multiple unauthorized buildings and sealing properties in Ravi and Nishtar zones, here on Saturday.

On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ijaz, enforcement teams conducted a grand operation in Ravi Zone areas of Begum Kot, Kala Khatai Road, and Noor Road, where four buildings constructed in violation of building bylaws were demolished, while two properties were sealed. During the operation, an FIR was also registered against an individual for interfering in official duties.

In a separate action in Nishtar Zone, three illegal constructions were completely demolished in Mouza Jaman, Bedian Road.

Officials said the structures were being built without approved maps and mandatory permissions, posing a serious threat to planned urban development.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ijaz, while overseeing the operations, stated that there is no space for illegal construction within Lahore’s jurisdiction and that strict and indiscriminate action would continue against all violations of building regulations.

He added that, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, the district administration is committed to curbing unplanned urban expansion and ensuring a safe, regulated, and structured infrastructure for citizens.
