Multan division to get 28 development schemes worth Rs3bn

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Multan division is said to be completing at least 28 development schemes worth Rs3 billion, an official source said Wednesday.

In Multan district, end-to-end upgradation of roads from Clock Tower to Chungi No 9 and from Dera Adda to Aziz Hotel will be carried out. Askari Bypass and Old Shujabad Road will be dualised, while the road from Fountain Square to Girls Degree College and Permit Road will also be improved, the source said. Upgradation of the road from Pull Rango to Pul Barkat Abad will be initiated in tehsil Kabirwala. Upgradation of the General Bus Stand and the Talamba Municipal Committee office will also be undertaken in Kabirwala.

In Vehari and Burewala, linking of Ratta Tibba Road and Masoom Shah Road will be carried out respectively. Jalla Jim sports Stadium in tehsil Melsi will be upgraded, the source added.

District Lodhran will receive six development schemes, including the improvement of Super Square with construction of the district’s external gate. Upgradation of Qasim Park with installation of streetlights in Kehror Pakka has been approved, while Dunyapur will get modern streetlights in the coming days.

The Punjab chief minister has ordered that no compromise be made on the quality of all development projects to be initiated soon.
