TANDO ADAM, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) On the 8th of Muharram, mourning processions commemorating Hazrat Qasim (RA) were taken out in Tando Adam with religious devotion, respect and a peaceful atmosphere.
A large number of mourners participated in the processions and paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.
According to reports, under the supervision of Anjuman Safeena-e-Ahl-e-Bait, Mehndi processions were taken out from different Imambargahs, including Chanhiya Bargah, Haji Shah Bargah and Ali Shah Bargah.
The procession from Chanhiya Bargah was led by Imran Karbalai, the one from Haji Shah Bargah by Rais Zahid Hussain Mari, and the procession from Ali Shah Bargah was led by Syed Mohsin Ali Shah.
The processions passed through their designated routes and reached the Markazi Imambargah, where they merged into a main procession. During the procession, mourners participated in Nohas, mourning rituals and religious gatherings, paying homage to Hazrat Qasim (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala.
Talking to media representatives, Imran Karbalai and other organisers said that the Mehndi ritual is observed in memory of Hazrat Qasim (RA) and reminds people of the great sacrifices made during the tragedy of Karbala.

Meanwhile, Chairman Municipal Committee Tando Adam Ghulam Murtaza Junejo visited different procession routes and reviewed civic arrangements, including cleanliness, lighting and drainage facilities. Chief Municipal Officer Malik Abdul Hameed, Tanveer Ranjhani, Hameed Baloch, Nana Qambarani and other officials accompanied him.
Ghulam Murtaza Junejo said that the municipal administration and relevant departments were fully active during Muharram to provide maximum facilities to mourners. He added that special arrangements had been made to ensure cleanliness, lighting and other basic facilities along the procession routes.
Strict security arrangements were also made across the city for the mourning processions. Police officials, administration teams and volunteers performed their duties to maintain peace and order during the religious events.
