Muharram Control Room made fully functional in Chiniot: DC Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) The Muharram Control Room has been made fully functional in the DC Office for scientific monitoring of the processions of the Ashra of Muharram Al-Haram, these were on the instructions of the Punjab government.

Duty has been assigned to shifts of staff from all relevant departments and the control room will remain functional 24/7 until the night of Ashura.

DC Ayesha Rizwan, along with ADCG Waqas Abbas Haral, visited the control room and checked the presence of the staff on duty. She directed that the duty of the control room requires responsibility, so there should not be even a moment of delay in the exchange of information.

She directed the staff to remain vigilant and said that monitoring should be done from every angle through CCTV cameras. Media reports regarding the arrangements should also be taken into account so that even the slightest deficiency that comes to light can be removed immediately.

She also reviewed the monitoring system and arrangements in the control room, where the in-charge and other officers were present.

She said that foolproof arrangements will be ensured during Muharram Al-Haram. She urged the relevant departments to maintain complete communication and coordination for the smooth conduct of processions and majalis.
