Mourning procession emerges from Sea View Apartments on 8th Muharram

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) The mourning procession of 8th Muharram-ul-haram taken out from Sea View Apartments passed through its designated routes and concluded at Baqiyat Ullah Imam Bargah here on Wednesday.

The participants of the mourning procession passed through Khyaban-e-Bahria and Main Saba Avenue, where a heavy police contingent was deployed to ensure the safety of the mourners and maintain law and order, said a spokesperson of District South Police.

The ample security arrangements were made along all procession routes, entry and exit points, and sensitive locations.

On this occasion, SSP District South Mehzoor Ali remained present on the spot, continuously monitoring the security situation, police deployment, and other arrangements.

The concerned officers were directed to provide all possible facilitation to the mourners and to further streamline the security arrangements.
