Motorway Police organizes special road safety awareness briefing for motorcyclists

NAWABSHAHD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) Motorway Police organized a special road safety awareness briefing for motorcyclists at Sakrand Bypass under the directives of Inspector General Motorway Police

Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG Munir Ahmed Sheikh, DIG Javed Akbar Riaz, and Sector Commander Muhammad Afzal Majeed. During the session, motorcyclists were informed in detail about the dangers of riding without helmets, over-speeding, and unsafe driving practices. The briefing was delivered by DSP Azeem Khan Zardari, who issued clear instructions emphasizing that both the rider and the pillion passenger must wear helmets at all times.

DSP advised riders to strictly avoid carrying more than one passenger, performing one-wheeling, and engaging in other dangerous activities. Underage and unlicensed driving were declared legal offenses, and participants were urged to fully comply with the law. Motorcyclists were also instructed to keep to the extreme left side of the road, maintain lane discipline, and strictly follow all traffic rules to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of other road users.
