Motorcyclist injured by robbers

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Unknown armed robbers opened indiscriminate firing at a bike rider, leaving him injured in Adda Sheedan, Ganwar Shah Road area of the district.

According to Rescue 1122, a man was traveling on an electric scooty when two robbers riding a CD-125 motorcycle approached him with the intention of robbery.

“Upon resistance by the victim, the suspects shot him in the arm and fled after snatching three hundred thousand rupees in cash and a mobile phone,” they said.

Soon after receiving informaiton police reached the scene. Rescue staff provided first aid to the injured and shifted him to BVH Bahawalpur for further medical treatment.

The victim was identified as Shakir, son of Aslam, a resident of Basti Sialan, Rangpur, Bahawalpur. He received gunshot wound to the left arm.
