ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The mother of martyr Muhammad Liaqat Ali, who sacrificed his life while stopping a suicide bomber near a police checkpost in Jand, Attock, inaugurated a newly established waiting hall at Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) Headquarters and offered prayers for the country’s peace and prosperity.
An ITP official told APP on Wednesday that Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
Muhammad Liaqat Ali, a courageous railway employee, embraced martyrdom in May 2026 after preventing a suicide bomber from carrying out a major terrorist attack, saving many innocent lives through his bravery and sacrifice.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The martyr was posthumously awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat (Star of Bravery) in recognition of his extraordinary courage and national sacrifice.
Police officers paid rich tribute to the martyr and acknowledged his bravery, patriotism and selfless devotion for the protection of citizens.
Special prayers were also offered for the country’s development, stability, security forces and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace and national security.
