More than 2,300 scholars, translators deployed to guide Hajj pilgrims

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has deployed 2,392 scholars and translators across the holy sites to strengthen religious guidance and awareness services for pilgrims during the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the scholars and translators are participating in a comprehensive Islamic awareness campaign aimed at helping pilgrims better understand Hajj rituals and official instructions during the pilgrimage season.

The report said the teams have been stationed at strategic locations across the holy sites to deliver lectures, answer religious questions and guide pilgrims in multiple languages.

Authorities said the campaign also focuses on reinforcing official health, safety and security instructions issued for the Hajj season to help pilgrims perform rituals with ease and peace of mind.

SPA told APP that the ministry is utilizing qualified scholars and multilingual translators to improve direct communication with pilgrims arriving from different countries around the world.

Officials added that the awareness initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to improve guidance services and enhance pilgrims’ overall spiritual experience during Hajj.
