Monsoon rains trigger flooding in Hazara's waterways

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2026) Heavy monsoon rains have caused severe flooding in waterways across the Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to district administration on Tuesday, rainfall in Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra and other upper districts has turned weather pleasant, but it has also led to a significant rise in water levels in rivers and streams, creating difficulties for local residents.

Meanwhile, the inflow into Tarbela Dam has reached 285,000 cusecs, while the outflow has been recorded at 210,000 cusecs. The water level at the dam has risen to 1,509 feet, reflecting the impact of the ongoing monsoon spell.
