SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Mayor Sukkur and Spokesperson for the Government of Sindh, Barrister Arsalan islam Shaikh, on Frudy termed the modern double-decker bus service operating on Shahrah-e-Bhutto a remarkable example of the Sindh government’s commitment to progressive policies and modern urban infrastructure.

Travelling on the service, Barrister Shaikh said the Sindh government was taking practical steps to provide Karachi with a modern transport system, high-speed highways, and world-class travel facilities.

He highlighted the Malir Expressway as the largest Public-Private Partnership project in Sindh, saying it would bring a revolutionary change to Karachi’s transport system by offering citizens safe, comfortable, and high-speed travel. The expressway includes modern interchanges, an advanced tolling system, street lighting, and world-class road safety features designed to cut travel time and ease traffic congestion.

“The modern double-decker bus service will not only serve as an excellent facility for citizens but will also enhance Karachi’s image as a beautiful, positive, and modern metropolis,” he said.

Barrister Shaikh said that under the vision of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh government was initiating historic projects for public service, urban development, and infrastructure improvement to ensure world class facilities for the people.

He said the PPP leadership had always remained at the forefront of public service and development, and the Sindh government was expanding modern development projects across Karachi and the province to provide citizens with better, dignified and world class urban facilities.
