Mobile licensing vans weekly schedule announced to facilitate citizens at doorstep

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2026) City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has issued a weekly schedule for its mobile licensing vans under an outreach programme aimed at providing driving licence services to citizens at their doorstep.

According to CTP spokesperson, the initiative is being carried out under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam to facilitate residents across different areas of the city.

As per the schedule, mobile licensing vans will be available at Chakri Stop and Faizabad Stop on Murree Road on Monday. On Tuesday, the vans will provide services at Chaklala Bazaar and Sir Syed Chowk on Tipu Road.

On Wednesday, the mobile units will be stationed at Suzuki Stand New Chakra and Jahaz Ground in Sadiqabad.

On Thursday, the vans will operate at car Chowk Dhoke Chaudhrian and Baraf Khana Chowk.

On Friday, licensing facilities will be available at Jhawara Picket Dhamiyaal and the CUC Centre Gulzar-e-Quaid.

Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam said that motorcyclists are being issued learner permits and driving licences on the same day to make the process easier for the public.

He urged citizens to take advantage of the facility and obtain their driving licences without delay, adding that carrying a valid driving licence while driving reflects responsible and confident driving.
