QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) In a unique and impactful initiative, the Balochistan government is spreading the light of education to remote and underserved areas through “Kitab Gaari” (Book Vans) and “Science Ki Sawari” (Science Vans). These mobile projects are helping children in villages access learning opportunities that were previously out of reach.

Initially launched as mobile schools, the program has now evolved into moving libraries, teaching centers, and mobile science laboratories. The “Science Van” in particular is playing a vital role in promoting scientific thinking, curiosity, and a passion for learning among children in areas where educational facilities are limited.

According to official data, the Book Van project is currently active in 14 districts, including Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Pishin, Chaman, Quetta, Lasbela, Hub, Gwadar, Jaffarabad, Kachhi, Kech, Jhal Magsi, and Noshki.

Meanwhile, the Science Van is successfully operating in Jaffarabad district, serving as a model for future expansion.

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, praised the initiative, calling it a beacon of hope for the province’s educational future. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting creative and determined efforts that ensure children gain access to modern knowledge and learning opportunities.

Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction that the project is also strengthening school enrollment campaigns, encouraging more children to pursue education. He emphasized that such innovative steps are a strong guarantee of a brighter, educated future for Balochistan.
