QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd May, 2026) Member of the National Assembly Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani has praised the role of institutions like the Dr. Kaleemullah Health Foundation in delivering vital healthcare services to the people of Balochistan.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the foundation’s hospital, Raisani highlighted the importance of such initiatives in safeguarding the future of the nation. He noted that when a child is healthy, the country’s future remains secure, and commended the foundation for serving humanity rather than seeking recognition.
The event was attended by members of the hospital’s board of Directors, including Dr. Haqdad Tareen, Medical Superintendent Dr. Zarak Khan Kakar, Engineer Ilyas, Engineer Ghulam Usman Babai, Abdul Ahad Agha, Haji Fareed Panezai, and Dr.
Sher Afgan Raisani, Provincial Manager of the Balochistan TB Control Program, among others. Dr. Haqdad Tareen provided a detailed briefing on the hospital’s various departments.
Jamal Raisani emphasized that healthcare challenges cannot be resolved with just six percent of the national budget allocated to health. He described the foundation as a beacon of hope not only for Quetta but for the entire province. He pledged that his efforts would not stop at this inauguration, but would mark the beginning of a broader struggle for improved healthcare facilities.
He further announced plans to provide resources for a state-of-the-art hospital in his constituency, Sariab Road, and prayed that the newly inaugurated hospital would become a source of healing for the people of Balochistan.
