Missing teenage girl recovered from Lahore

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Bahauddin Zakria police recovered a teenage girl from a kidnapper

and arrested the captor.

According to police, Montaha Farhan, daughter of Farhan Ahmad,

had gone missing from her home MDA Colony on the morning of

May 12, 2026. Her parents made hectic efforts to trace her but

failed to do so. Later, they lodged an FIR with the police station.

After registration of a case, the police constituted seven investigation

teams to trace the girl. The search operation was initiated through CCTV

cameras installed at different parts of the city along with the use of modern

technology.

At last, the police succeeded in tracing the girl at Cantt Railway Station

along with a suspected person. The police also arrested the suspect identified

as Muhammad Imran, son of Muhammad Sarwar, a resident of Vehari on May 13.

The accused disclosed that he had picked up the girl from the General Bus Stand

and later dropped her at the railway station.

Police said the accused was allegedly involved in honey trapping and drug dealing.

Following the information, a grand operation was launched in Vehari and adjoining

areas. During investigation, police learnt that the girl had left for Lahore.

Police obtained CCTV footage from a local bus service and formed four additional

teams which reached Lahore and recovered the girl from a house after an extensive

search operation.

During investigation, it was discovered that the girl had left home after being inspired

by social media and intended to travel to Karachi to join the showbiz industry.

After resolving the case, City Police Officer Sadiq Dogar said in a statement said

that police succeeded in arresting the accused and recovering the girl by hard work

and tireless investigation spanning around a week.

He termed the case highly complicated and said police managed to solve it by using

modern technology and investigative techniques.
