Miscreants blow up Govt Middle School in S Waziristan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Miscreants destroyed Government middle School Sharif Khan Kot in South Waziristan by detonating explosive material, police confirmed on Tuesday.

The powerful blast occurred in Tehsil Barmal, causing significant damage to the school building. According to initial reports, two classrooms, washrooms, the main gate and a portion of the boundary wall were destroyed in the explosion.

Nearby houses also sustained partial damage due to the intensity of the blast. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Local residents strongly condemned the attack and expressed serious concern over the worsening security situation in the area.

This is not the first such incident in the region. Earlier, militants had destroyed Government High School Azam Warsak in a similar explosion in South Waziristan.

Police and security force have launched an investigation into the incident.
