Mirpurkhas police officers honoured for strong action against narcotics cases

MIRPURKHAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) A ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Range Police Office under the supervision of DIG Police Mirpurkhas Range Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, where CC-II certificates and commendation awards were distributed among officers for their outstanding performance in narcotics and gutka/mawa cases.

According to a spokesperson of the DIG office, officers and personnel of Mirpurkhas Range Police were recognized for conducting effective investigations, presenting strong evidence in court, and securing convictions of up to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment in three narcotics cases and eight gutka and mawa-related cases.

Addressing the ceremony, DIG Faisal Abdullah Chachar lauded the professionalism, dedication, and hard work of the officers, stating that successful operations against drug trafficking and harmful substances are key achievements that help strengthen the rule of law in society.

He said that recognizing good performance enhances the morale of the force and encourages officers to serve with greater commitment and honesty. Reiterating the police’s stance, he said the Mirpurkhas Range Police would continue its crackdown against drug dealers and those involved in gutka and mawa trade to ensure peace, public safety, and law and order in the region.
