Minister inaugurates schemes, reviews projects in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain visited Gujrat on Thursday

and inaugurated completed development schemes while reviewing the progress on ongoing

projects in the district.

During the visit, the provincial minister inaugurated the Sewerage Drain July project and a water filtration plant in Union Council No. 10.

He later inspected the site of the under-construction disposal station in Madina Syedan.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain also visited the Gujrat Railway Station where he reviewed various facilities, including waiting rooms, the ticketing office and other sections of the station.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had initiated numerous development projects across the province and that people were benefiting from the completion of mega projects.

He said development schemes worth billions of rupees were underway in Gujrat with funds provided by the chief minister and expressed gratitude for the allocation of funds for the city’s development.
