Minister chairs meeting of PDP

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin expressed his dismay

over the recent incidents of children falling into open manholes and issued a final warning

to the concerned officers to improve the monitoring system.

While presiding over the performance review meeting held through video link under

the Punjab Development Plan (PDP), the provincial minister directed the officers to ensure

continuous monitoring of sewage and drainage systems in urban areas and any kind of negligence

will not be tolerated.

Preparations for the monsoon season were also reviewed in the meeting. The provincial minister said that the ongoing pre-monsoon de-silting campaign should be continued without interruption to avoid problems of water logging in urban areas during rains.
