Minister Bharth chairs 78th IDAP Board meeting

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) The 78th meeting of the Board of Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) was held on Tuesday under the chair of Provincial Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, during which several major development and healthcare projects were approved.

During the meeting, Chief Executive Officer IDAP Captain Shah Mir gave a detailed briefing on various agenda items, while officers from the Planning and Development, Finance, Transport, Communications and Works, Industries and Commerce departments, and other relevant institutions attended the session.

The board approved the appointment of IDAP as the implementing agency for the construction of the Maryam Nawaz Institute of Cardiology Gujranwala and the Traffic Management Command Center Lahore.

Approval was also granted for IDAP to undertake the construction of a new building at Al-Falah Site and the Punjab Climate Building project.

The meeting further approved the procurement of radiology and angiography machines for the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology Sargodha and Jinnah Cardiology Hospital.

The board also gave approval for the establishment of a modular room at a cancer hospital aimed at improving healthcare facilities and patient services.

Meanwhile, the board approved the budget of IDAP for the fiscal year 2026-27.
