Meeting held to review measures against curb illegal mining

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz here Wednesday chaired a meeting to review measures against illegal gold mining in the district.

The meeting was attended by officers of district administration, representatives from minerals and forest besides concerned officials.

On the occasion, meeting was briefed about challenges posed by illegal mining and related issues. The deputy commissioner directed authorities to take strict legal action against those involved in unlawful mining activities. He said those involved in illegal mining and violating directives of district administration would be dealt indiscriminately.

Meanwhile, a Ramadan Dastarkhwan was arranged at Women and Children Park Kohat that was attended by deputy commissioner. He inspected the arrangements for Iftar and appreciated.

The organizers for maintaining discipline and ensuring timely provision of quality food to the fasting citizens. He reaffirmed that the district administration would continue to support and encourage public welfare activities in every possible way.
