Meeting held by of DC regarding preparations for peace, security on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) An important meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office under the chairmanship of Agha Sher Zaman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kashmore-Kandhkot, to review peace and order, procession routes, security, and administrative matters related to Youm-e-Ali (A.S) on Wednesday.

Wing Commander Colonel Talal Ahmed, Assistant Commissioners, DSP Headquarters, officers from the Health Department, Municipal Committee, SEPCO, Rescue 1122, and other relevant departments participated in the meeting. Prominent scholars and procession organizers were also present on the occasion.

DC Agha Sher Zaman directed that foolproof security arrangements be ensured for all processions and majalis (gatherings) on Youm-e-Ali (A.S). He emphasized ensuring the clearance of procession routes, functionality of streetlights, cleanliness, and the availability of emergency medical facilities under all circumstances.

He instructed the relevant officers to strictly enforce the code of conduct and keep a proactive strategy ready to deal with any untoward incident. Police officials were also directed to implement effective checks on entry and exit points.

It was also decided in the meeting that the district administration and police would jointly visit the procession routes to personally assess the arrangements so that a peaceful and organized environment could be maintained on Youm-e-Ali (A.S).

DC stated that on Youm-e-Ali (A.S), scholars and organizers from all schools of thought should fully cooperate with the district administration to promote religious harmony, brotherhood, and tolerance.
