Medical store sealed in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) On the directions of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Health Authority Dr Syed Atta-ul-Munim, the District Health Department conducted inspections of various medical stores and pharmacies in Gujrat to review the availability of medicines, presence of qualified pharmacists and compliance with the Drugs Act 1976.

According to official sources, the inspection teams checked several outlets and examined different aspects related to drug regulations and service standards.

During the operation, M Hassan Pharmacy in Gujrat was challaned over violations and the premises were sealed under the Drugs Act. The case was also referred to the District Quality Control board for further legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, samples of medicines were collected from different locations and sent to the Drug Testing Laboratory for analysis.
