Mechanical rides in parks to submit fitness certificates, says MD MHA

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Managing Director (MDA) Multan Horticulture Authority (MHA), Syed Wasim Hassan has said that the mechanical rides in parks will only be allowed to operate after the submission and verification of fitness certificates, as part of strict safety measures ahead of Eid festivities.

He said that a five-member committee has been constituted to ensure compliance with safety standards before granting permission to operate rides. He emphasized that the protection of human life and property remains the top priority during the festive season.

He stated that over 300 officials, including officers, gardeners, security guards, and other staff, will be deployed across parks and green belts to facilitate visitors during Eid days. Dedicated teams have also been formed to oversee security, cleanliness, and landscaping arrangements.

In collaboration with the Punjab Food Authority, steps have been taken to ensure the availability of quality food items in parks.

A formal request has been sent to the authority to maintain strict monitoring of food standards during Eid, he added.

Syed Wasim Hassan stated that the Punjab government was committed to providing the best recreational facilities to the public; however, safety remains paramount. He added that all possible measures were being implemented to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for families visiting parks.

He further noted that special duties have been assigned to sanitation workers and gardeners to maintain cleanliness and beautification, while security arrangements have been strengthened with the deployment of guards and civil defense personnel.

Urging citizens to cooperate, he advised visitors to enjoy the facilities responsibly and demonstrate civic discipline to ensure a safe and enjoyable Eid for everyone.
