MD Suthra Punjab Agency orders comprehensive cleanliness plan for Eid-ul-Azha

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Suthra Punjab Agency Bahawalpur Managing Director Muhammad Qasim Gul has directed all contractors to finalise their operational plans to ensure foolproof sanitation arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha, aiming to prevent any unpleasant situation during the major religious event.

He issued these instructions while chairing a meeting with private contractors from Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts at the agency’s office. The meeting was attended by Senior Manager Operations Muhammad Imtiaz Ullah, along with contractors and representatives from the concerned districts. During the session, contractors shared feedback on last year’s operational plans, field challenges, and practical experiences while assuring that a more effective and coordinated strategy would be implemented for the upcoming Eid.

Addressing the participants, Muhammad Qasim Gul directed that all machinery and field staff be fully mobilized before Eid and that operational plans be submitted to the head office without delay.

He further instructed that suitable sites for the safe disposal and burial of animal waste be identified promptly.

He also issued directions to ensure maintenance and repair of operational vehicles, as well as the fixing and repainting of damaged waste containers across both urban and rural areas before Eid. The Managing Director emphasized that contractors must immediately clear any existing waste backlog in their respective tehsils and further improve door-to-door waste collection services to provide a clean environment for citizens. He reaffirmed that the Suthra Punjab Agency is committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure exemplary cleanliness arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha.
