MD SSWMB salutes workers on Labour Day

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Managing Director Sindh Solid Waste Management board (SSWMB), Tariq Ali Nizamani, extended heartfelt appreciation to all staff members and emphasized that all hardworking individuals played a vital role in the development and progress of the country and society, and their services were sincerely acknowledged.

On the occasion of International Workers' Day on Friday, he praised the contributions of all SSWMB employees, particularly sanitary workers, helpers, drivers and other staff, noting that they consistently worked at the forefront every day; regardless of heat, cold or any emergency situation.

They sacrifice their holidays and festivals to ensure our city remains clean, he said.

Following the MD's instructions, cakes were cut and meals distributed to honor staff in districts South, Korangi, and other districts. Sanitary workers who demonstrated outstanding performance were also presented with appreciation certificates.

On this occasion, Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors from the respective districts and company officials were also present alongside the employees.
