MD Horticulture Agency reviews beautification work at Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) Managing Director Horticulture Agency (PHA) Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha on Wednesday visited Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed to review ongoing beautification and maintenance work and directed officials to ensure the provision of quality recreational facilities for citizens.

During the visit, the managing director inspected horticultural activities, cleanliness arrangements, tree plantation, seasonal flower beds, green lawns, walking tracks, children's play area, lighting system and other public amenities.

Officials briefed him on the progress of beautification projects, maintenance of plants, irrigation system and sanitation measures in the park.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said public parks served as important recreational spaces while also contributing to environmental protection, pollution reduction and the beautification of the city.

He said the Horticulture Agency was implementing a comprehensive strategy to improve parks, green belts and other public spaces through seasonal flower plantation, modern landscaping, proper maintenance of trees and effective cleanliness measures.

The managing director directed the concerned officials to ensure regular maintenance of plants and trees, replace dry or diseased plants without delay, improve the irrigation system and carry out timely mowing of lawns.

He also instructed the staff to maintain cleanliness, keep seating areas and walking tracks in good condition and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the park's lighting system.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said providing clean, green, safe and well-maintained recreational facilities remained one of the agency's top priorities, adding that such parks promoted healthy lifestyles by offering a pleasant environment for leisure and physical activities.

He also urged citizens to cooperate in protecting public property, maintaining cleanliness and reporting any damage or irregularities to the relevant authorities to help make Rawalpindi greener and more environmentally sustainable.

At the end of the visit, the managing director reviewed the performance of the officials and directed them to continue efforts to further enhance the park's beauty and improve facilities for visitors.
